A proper little lady emerges!

Esme is growing up quickly and at 5 months is keen to be a central part of the world rather than observing from a distance.

She has become a real water babe - loving her swimming lessons.

Her 'chatter' is containing lots of new sounds! Some of which are louder, and higher, than others. Her giggles are also contagious!

Esme's discovering the delights of solids - delighting in trying new flavours. So far pear, apple, sweet potato and parsnip are favourites!

An independent girl who loves playing in her 'Baby Einstein' (thanks family McLennan!).

All in all she's an absolute star!

Christmastime - a selection of pics

It's been a busy few weeks... we've been to Glossop for Esme's Nanny's 60th birthday party and up to Loch Lomond for a little holiday to tie in with Fraser & Grace's Naming Ceremony.

A lovely time was had by all and we're now enjoying a few days at home (catching up on the washing!!!) before travelling to Southport to celebrate Christmas at Nana's!

Growing up fast

Our little girl is no longer so little! Clever Esme has been feeding so well she's now weighing in at 11lb and has outgrown all her newborn clothes ... it's a good job she is such a lucky girl and already has a well stocked '0-3month' wardrobe received as gifts!

We're continuing to enjoy being parents especially as Esme now showers us with smiles and giggles. She's cooing and gurgling too - mainly to Mr Lion during her 2am nappy change!

Bathtimes have become a favourite time of day for us all. Esme loves to kick her legs and splash us. We're starting swimming sessions with her soon so it seems like she'll love that!

We've continued to introduce Esme to family and friends as well as taking her for her first half day at school. She's proving to be a sociable little girl...totally chilled about meeting classes of excited children and sleeping through the school bell ringing!

Oh yeah...and we dressed her as a pumpkin!!!

Sunny Southport!

Firstly Esme apologises for monopolising her Mummy's time and so preventing updating of the blog however she insists that having a full tummy, clean nappy, lots of cuddles and entertainment are priorities!

We've been on our first little holiday...to Southport to stay with Nana whilst Simon popped over to Germany. Esme and I had a wonderful time being well looked after and meeting lots of friendly faces.

We can't believe how fast our little girl is growing - she's already outgrown her newborn clothes! She's doing new things everyday and now delights us with beautiful smiles on a regular basis.
