Sunny Southport!

Firstly Esme apologises for monopolising her Mummy's time and so preventing updating of the blog however she insists that having a full tummy, clean nappy, lots of cuddles and entertainment are priorities!

We've been on our first little holiday...to Southport to stay with Nana whilst Simon popped over to Germany. Esme and I had a wonderful time being well looked after and meeting lots of friendly faces.

We can't believe how fast our little girl is growing - she's already outgrown her newborn clothes! She's doing new things everyday and now delights us with beautiful smiles on a regular basis.

Time flies!

Sorry it's been a while since I last posted here but to say things have been hectic would be quite an understatement! All culminating in an overnight stay in hospital for Esme and me on Monday night!

Things had been running smoothly with us all adjusting to family life and introducing Esme to more and more family and friends when I became unwell.

To cut a long, and painful, story short... worsening abdominal pains resulted in hospital admission, IV anti - biotics and

some lovely strong pain relief! Esme was fine through it all, with her Daddy being an absolute hero,

and she stayed in hospital with me so we could continue to breastfeed. Thankfully the drugs DO work so we were home after 36 hours with more tablets to get me through the week.

Nana came to stay and has been an absolute angel once again feeding and clothing us all especially as Esme continues to enjoy explosive poops over whoever has the pleasure of changing her nappy!

I'm slowly feeling better and getting back on track with being a Mummy - it's fab! Esme is a sweetheart and is more and more alert everyday. Fingers crossed for a quiet Esme & Mummy week next week!
